Having Knowledge

I am trying to start writing my paper but it is hard to get started. I picked a topic that I don't really know much about but it happen to me during my pregnancy with  my son and now I am a diabetic and also my son is a diabetic. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that happens to some women when they are pregnant usually in the 3rd trimester. I wonder if it could have been prevented if I had known about this disease and had come type of knowledge of GDM. I didn't know until I had gone in for my 6 weeks checkup.
